How To Start An Investment Grade Art Collection Q&A
Your First Piece
An intimate afternoon for new and aspiring art collectors
Join us for an intimate Q&A afterparty with Los Gatos physician and art collector, Dr. Josel Cabaccan.
Dr. Cabaccan serves on the acquisitions committee of the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Pieces from his own collection have been featured in the Venice Biennale (2022, 2024), the Louisiana Museum (2018–2019, 2023), and the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris (2023–2024), and shown at Centre d’Art La Malmaison de Cannes (2020). His collection has been published in Yayoi Kusama’s Everyday I Pray for Love and the upcoming Anthology of Drawings by Luc Tuymans (2026). He travels frequently to Art Basel, Frieze, and international exhibitions, which he shares on Instagram @an_art_throb.
Right after his talk, join us for a private afternoon with one signature cocktail and light snacks, an unplugged Q&A with Dr. Cabaccan. Ask questions, talk collecting, and see what actually calls to you, in a room built for exactly that.
Every guest will receive a personalized Collector Profile Report post event— hand-curated, matched to your taste and budget, with real artists and market insight to help you find (and understand) your first piece.
This ticket covers the afterparty only. Dr. Cabaccan’s talk is free — reserve your spot directly with NUMU, then join us right after.
Limited to 12 guests.
