Autumn Tales & Traditions: A Global Celebration

Explore seasonal customs, share stories from home, and discover the Irish roots of Halloween.

As the season changes, communities across the world celebrate autumn with unique customs, folklore, and festivals. Autumn Tales & Traditions brings your Buddy community together to explore these seasonal traditions from around the globe.

In this interactive session, we’ll dive into Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival rooted right here in Ireland that inspired modern-day Halloween. If you'd like to share, you’ll also have the opportunity to share stories, folklore, or seasonal traditions from your own home culture.

What to expect:

• Global Perspectives: Discover how different cultures mark the autumn season.

• Storytelling & Exchange: An open space to share a tale, tradition, or memory from home (sharing is optional, feel free to just come along and enjoy!).

• Discover Samhain: Learn about ancient Irish folklore and the origins of Halloween.

• Community Connection: Connect with fellow students and alumni as we launch our first cultural event of the year.
