This is our first Ocean coffee meet-up, following our Ocean Collage last week: an invitation to take a breath in our busy days … and dive into the ocean.
Intention
For this kickoff session, the intention is to connect the existing and curious Singapore ocean community, while adding a few pieces to our shared systems literacy and impact investing toolbox.
The intention is also for us to reconnect to the heart of all life on Earth - our Mother Ocean - and let the format, just like the ocean itself, stay fluid and evolve as we go.
Focus area
For our first session, we will explore fisheries and aquaculture as entry points, grounding the discussion with some context and opening the space to experiences from the group:
Brief share of context/ trends on the basis of the Ocean Collage cards and numbers
Impact investing experiences share — challenges faced, lessons learned, and stories of progress and success.
Who is it for?
Impact investors "beginners" who want to deepen their ocean literacy and expand their toolbox of ocean solutions and investment opportunities
Experienced ocean impact investors willing to share insights, lessons, and experiences to help channel more capital toward meaningful ocean impact
Representatives of ocean solutions (entrepreneurs, operators, practitioners) ready to share knowledge, field perspectives, and concrete solutions that strengthen collective ocean literacy
