Open Tones Sound Meditation & Healing Journey
Open Tones Ensemble
Fully improvised sonic journeys open the door into non-ordinary reality, a liminal space between conscious and unconscious. Tones of voice, flutes, singing bowls release the mind while rooting and grounding the body in drones and trance-state rhythm, incorporating electronic synthesis and spatial audio. The music invites participants into an immersive experience into the present, an opportunity to sink deeper into states of reflective awareness. Expect to leave this session with a fuller understanding of what it means to be open to all that we are, and all that we can be.
Open Tones is a contemporary ensemble dedicated to collaborative experimentation and the creation of new sonic forms. Through attentive listening and collective inquiry, the group develops performances that foreground process, presence, and the possibilities of spontaneous composition.
Guided By: David Nuss, Maximilian Lauter, Sam Haddix, Sarah Martin-Nuss, and Briana Weiner.
