About Event

Social workers handling child protection cases often work with complex case files containing sensitive information about children and families. Reviewing documents, identifying potential risks, and finding relevant case information can be time-consuming.

In this webinar, we’ll explore how AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) can support child protection case management. Through a real-world Omdena project developed with the International Social Service (ISS), we’ll look at how AI can summarize case files, identify risk factors, assess risk levels, and help social workers find similar cases for reference.

What we’ll explore

🔹 How AI can summarize case files and organize key information
🔹 How NLP can identify relevant details and potential risk factors
🔹 How risk scoring can support case assessment and prioritization
🔹 How similar-case retrieval can help social workers find relevant references
🔹 Challenges of using AI in sensitive child protection settings, including data privacy and human oversight

Who should attend

NGO leaders, child protection and safeguarding professionals, social workers, case managers, humanitarian organizations, family services providers, nonprofit decision-makers, and professionals exploring responsible AI for social impact.
