A half-day gathering of PNW leaders focused on advancing women and sustainability in the region – to connect and get to know each other, reflect on 2026, and align on 2027 impact aspirations.
2026 was a foundational year for the WCS Portland Chapter – its first year building chapter identity, testing a small set of signature events – including a PNW Climate week spotlight, and establishing relationships across the local cleantech and sustainability ecosystem. That work reinforced WCS-PDX's role as a connector: amplifying what mission-aligned organizations are already building, rather than competing for the same attention and resources.
As fall strategic-planning season begins, WCS-PDX and WRISE Portland/PNW are co-convening a small, high-quality half-day gathering of like-mission organizations – focused on advancing women and/or sustainability – from across Oregon and the PNW.
The session is flexible – focused on building and deepening relationships, learning about each other’s org and future visions. Agenda-wise, we could envision the first part of the day as divergent – each organization shares 2026 highlights, challenges, and early 2027 aspirations. Then converging to map potential overlaps, and ideate around concrete 2027 partnership opportunities, from co-hosted events to shared resources and cross-promotion.
Attendance is kept intentionally small (a couple of representatives per organization) to preserve a true working-session format.
Hosted by Women in Cleantech & Sustainability (WCS) Portland Chapter, in partnership with WRISE Portland/PNW, the session is free and by invitation – organizational leaders and event/program organizers from women- and sustainability-focused groups, plus closely aligned ecosystem partners (accelerators, foundations, community organizations), are welcome at the table.
