​Calla — a glass that blooms

​A calla lily already looks like it is holding something—a little light, a little water, maybe a drink. So we decided to turn it into a glass.

​In this workshop, we’ll follow the curve of the flower and build a tall ceramic goblet entirely by hand. Its rim can open softly or curl to one side; its stem can stand straight or lean a little. We’re not trying to make perfect copies. By the end of the night, we’ll have a small field of calla glasses, each with its own posture.

​Wine will be poured while we work. Come spend a slow evening playing with clay and sipping wine with your bestie—or bring a date. Honestly, making a slightly impossible glass together sounds much better than another dinner.

​We’ll glaze every piece in soft white and fire it for you. When it comes back from the kiln, it can hold wine, flowers, or simply itself.

​No experience needed. Wine, materials, glazing, and firing are all included. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup in 2–3 weeks.
