​From Skin to Clay — Ceramic Painting Workshop with RENUUE

​Join us for an intimate ceramic painting workshop hosted by New York–based tattoo artist RENUUE, exploring how drawing and mark-making can move from skin to clay.

​For this workshop, each participant will be provided with a handmade ceramic incense holder as the painting surface — no need to make the ceramic form yourself. RENUUE will guide you through the basics of underglaze painting, including how to translate your own imagery onto ceramic, work with line and color, and adapt a drawing to the shape and surface of the piece.

​Inspired by RENUUE’s tattoo practice, the workshop focuses on the relationship between body, gesture, drawing, and permanent marks, while introducing underglaze as another way of carrying an image onto a material surface.

​All materials, underglazes, brushes, and one ceramic incense holder are included. After the workshop, your piece will be glazed and fired for you.

​You’ll leave with your own finished, one-of-a-kind incense holder, painted by you and ready to use after firing.
