​At the Downtown Climate Club, we’re bringing together three campaigners who are taking on giants: Mark Haver fighting to defend the deep from Deep Sea Mining, Celina Chien pushing back against destructive development at Aldabra, and José Reyeros rallying Mexico against LNG “carbon bombs” with the Whales or Gas community.

​Moderated by Christian Vazinette of Chilli App, this session will show you how local voices can outmaneuver billion-dollar industries and how movements can go from scrappy petitions to headlines that move presidents, investors, and UN negotiators. Expect real talk, bold tactics, and maybe even a little plotting for what’s next!
