Boulder Angels: Q2 Pitch Session & University Spinout Panel
Join us for our Q2 pitch session and University Spinout Speaker Panel, proudly supported by Silicon Valley Bank, a Division of First Citizens Bank.
This event will be held at the Leeds School of Business in room KOBL 352 (on the third floor).
We have four amazing companies presenting from a variety of industries and backgrounds.
Company pitches and investor discussion will be from 3:15-4:45pm MST. We will then have discussion amongst the investors, before beginning our speaker panel at 5:15pm. The panel will run until 6pm, followed by networking and refreshments.
Our speaker panel will consist of deeptech investors, university licensing experts, IP attorneys, and founders for a candid discussion on evaluating and investing in tech transfer startups, and the most common early-stage pitfalls in licensing, GTM, and fundraising that university spinout founders face. Whether you're an angel looking to sharpen your deeptech due diligence or a founder navigating the commercialization of IP, this conversation will offer rare, practitioner-level insight from every seat at the table.
Speakers include:
Tasso von Windheim, Investor, Buff Gold Ventures
Josh Bennett, Assistant Director of Licensing and Director of the Lab Venture Challenge, Venture Partners at CU Boulder
Justin Whiteley, CEO and Co-Founder, Kioga
Chris Byrne, decorated silicon valley IP Attorney and Moderator
This will be a hybrid session, offering a chance for investor members and founders to meet each other in person and allow out-of-state members/founders to participate.
Pitch sessions are the primary venue for members to meet in person and develop the relationships that make Boulder Angels so special. Please attend in person if you are able.
A zoom link will be sent out prior to the session for attendees outside Colorado.
