About Event

TechBBQ brings the whole Nordic tech and investor crowd to Copenhagen. This evening, Bifrost House is opening its doors to the people funding and building what comes next.

Bifrost House is the Copenhagen home of Bifrost Studios: eight venture studios under one roof, from defence to AI infrastructure, building and buying against a target of a hundred profitable companies a year. Every quarter the portfolio meets in private. Today the doors are open, and you won't have these conversations anywhere else.

A keynote, a panel and a working session from the builders at the frontlines of AI, then the Bifrost Summer Party until 22:00 with open bar, food and entertainment --> https://luma.com/q7a7d0qt

Agenda

15:00 — Keynote: Value Creation in the Post-AI Economy
Thorbjorn Ronje, General Partner, Bifrost Studios

When building costs a fraction of what it used to, headcount stops being a proxy for capability, and every competitor has access to the same models you do, most of what companies called a moat stops being one.

So where does value actually get created now? Thor has been stress-testing this thesis against real portfolio P&Ls for two years. This is the first time he's given the talk outside the house.

15:45 — Panel: Reading a company's AI risk profile
Hosted by Peter of Granite, with senior operators from energy, logistics, manufacturing and infrastructure

Every investor is asking a version of the same question right now, and most are asking it badly.

  • Is the company I just backed actually prepared for what's coming, or does it only have the vocabulary?

  • How do you assess AI readiness from the outside, before the diligence call?

  • What separates a company holding an infrastructure position from one renting somebody else's?

16:30 — Panel: Fewer people, more companies

Moderated by Melody of Stride, with Lasse of Bifrost Forge, Alice of Shortlists, Jack of Relay and Sophus of Bifrost Studios

Building got cheap. Distribution didn't. Hiring got harder. Most companies are still resourced as though product, go-to-market, talent and ops are four separate departments with four headcount plans.

  • How to build a business operating layer that tells you what's happening without three people and a spreadsheet

  • What a go-to-market function looks like when brand, outbound and inbound are one team

  • Who the right hire is when half the work underneath them is being automated

  • Which layer to build first, and what breaks when you get the order wrong

Please register to join the sessions as seats are limited to 30 people.
