Explore your own comedic voice, perspective and style, turning observations and ideas into material that feels distinctly yours.
CHALK #3 | 21 October

A workshop about taking the idea further than you normally would.
Explore absurdity, exaggeration and unexpected choices, using practical exercises to get out of your head and become more confident taking creative risks.
CHALK #4 | 4 November

Your commute. Dating. Work. Family group chats. The person holding up the queue.
Learn how to spot the comedy hiding in everyday life and turn familiar observations, frustrations and experiences into material.
CHALK #5 | 18 November

You've got the idea. Now make it land.
Take an initial premise and develop it through structure, rhythm and payoff, testing material in the room and understanding what works, and why.
CHALK #6 | 2 December

The final CHALK before CHEESE.
Bring together what you've developed and learn how to make it tighter, sharper and ready for an audience.
Work on editing, timing, delivery and structure, with the opportunity to test material ahead of the final showcase.
