About Event

Join us for vision 73’s third event on September 4th in Central London.

At our previous events vision 73 was honoured to host Jacob T. Robinson, Jamie Brannigan, Nir Grossman, and Tamara Gerbert speaking about implantable and non-implantable brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). The events were attended by researchers from leading institutions including King’s College London, Imperial College London, The Francis Crick Institute, University College London, and others.

The event on September 4th will explore investor perspectives on BCIs.

Priority registration for this event will be given to researchers in physics, neuroscience, materials science, computer science, and engineering if space becomes limited. This event is also a great opportunity for generalist technology investors to explore the BCI frontier.

We encourage everyone passionate about the future of BCIs to register, as we’re expanding capacity and customising the content for future events. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this transformative journey!

Details

Samantha Tabone

Samantha Tabone is a General Partner at XEIA Venture Partners, a venture capital fund based in San Francisco that invests in early stage therapeutic and deep tech companies. Samantha has invested in companies such as Motif Neurotech, NeuroBionics, and Coherence Neuro, within the therapeutic iBCI space. She's spent her career operating and investing in companies using new technology to solve complex brain problems. She's fractionally the active head of BD at Kernel Neurotech and Xylo Bio.

Matt McCann

Matt heads up the portfolio for Zinc VC, a science-for-impact venture capital fund that invests in pre-seed start-ups across health and environment. Alongside his day job, Matt co-founded the not-for-profit Science Entrepreneur Club where he created and manages the BioCapital Network, a community of almost 500 life science investors from across the UK and beyond.

Dominic Jacquesson

Dominic is currently midway through a MSc in neuroscience at KCL, as well as being an angel investor in neurotech, BCI and next-gen AI startups. This follows 12 years spent at Index Ventures, where he led two teams - insights and talent. He has worked with over 200 founders and their teams, from seed to pre-IPO stage (eg Revolut, Adyen, Figma, Deliveroo). He has also written four books and developed 3 apps to support entrepreneurs on key strategic questions, and co-founded the NotOptional campaign to drive greater employee ownership in European startups. His passion for neuroscience stems from a lifelong fascination with consciousness, and a first degree in experimental psychology (many, many years ago!) from Oxford.

Dorian Haci

Dorian is a co-founder and the CEO of MintNeuro, where he’s spearheading a new generation of neural implants leveraging cutting-edge semiconductor technologies. With over a decade in both academic research and industry, Dorian bridges deep technical insight with entrepreneurial mindset across the neurotechnology space.

Peter Zhegin

Peter is the Director of the Neurotech Program at e184. He was previously an investment manager at 7percent Ventures, a London-based deep tech fund. During his career, Peter invested across the aerospace, transportation, and agriculture sectors and the data stack.
