Fireside + Social Mixer on Clinical-Grade AI in Indian Healthcare

Presented by Databricks for Startups, in conversation with Eka Care & 3one4 Capital.

An evening for builders, operators, and investors who believe the next generation of healthcare AI in India won't be built on top of US workflows ported over — it'll be built on the rails India has already laid down.

The Mission: From Digitisation to Clinical Intelligence

India built the world's most ambitious public digital health stack in five years. Over a billion ABHAs, an open exchange protocol, and a UPI-style consent layer for medical records. The infrastructure is here. The question now is: what gets built on top?

In this session, we go deep with the team that's been building the EMR + AI layer on top of ABDM at scale, and the investor mapping where the real moats are forming.

What to Expect

1️⃣ Fireside Conversation — A candid discussion on what "clinical-grade" actually means in the Indian context, why grounding LLMs in domain knowledge (not just localisation) creates a fundamentally different product, and how ABDM rails change the data loop for healthcare AI.

2️⃣ The Eka Care Playbook — Going deep on building DocAssist, Eka Scribe, and BODHI: the Bharat Ontology for Disease & Healthcare Informatics. Where the wedge is, what doctor adoption actually looks like, and what it takes to be ABDM-certified at scale.

3️⃣ The Investor Lens — Pattern-matching the next wave of healthcare AI winners with 3one4 Capital. Where do the moats live — data, distribution, regulation, or workflow? What separates a feature from a company?

Speakers

Vikalp Sahni — Co-founder & CEO, Eka Care. Building India's leading personal health record and clinical AI stack on top of ABDM. Eka Care was the first private platform approved by Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission to issue ABHA cards, and is now powering AI-assisted clinical workflows for thousands of doctors across the country. Previously co-founder & CTO at Goibibo, and volunteer architect for Aarogya Setu.

Ayushi Garg — Vice President, 3one4 Capital. One of India's most active early-stage funds, with a portfolio spanning Licious, Darwinbox, Open, Jupiter, and a deepening thesis in applied AI and healthcare. Ayushi leads growth and capital development across consumer, SaaS, and frontier tech, and has been close to the firm's view on where vertical AI compounds.

Moderated by Dilip Mukkavalli — Head of Investor Partnerships Databricks for Startups, APAC.

Who Should Attend?

  • Founders building in healthcare AI, clinical workflows, diagnostics, EMRs, insurance tech, or anywhere that touches ABDM rails.

  • Operators & PMs thinking about how to build trust, accuracy, and compliance into AI products in regulated domains.

  • Investors & angels sharpening their thesis on what makes a healthcare AI company defensible — and which "AI for doctors" pitches are features in disguise.

  • Clinicians & health system leaders curious about where AI is actually working in Indian practice today
