Claude for Commerce: Product & Supply Chain Edition
A free monthly series for the people working in ecommerce and retail. Each edition takes one function of the business, from operations and finance to marketing, trading and customer service, and gets into how Claude is actually being used there by people doing the job.
This is Edition 4: Product & Supply Chain
You’ve got Claude. Your product and supply chain teams are probably using it. The question is whether it’s just speeding up the work you already do, or actually changing how the function runs.
Most teams stop at the chat window. They use Claude to summarise a supplier email, tidy up a spreadsheet or draft product copy. That is useful, but it’s not transformational.
The bigger opportunity is connecting Claude to the systems and data your product and supply chain teams already run on. It also means building tools that take the manual work out of the operation, so your people spend less time moving information between systems and more time acting on it.
This session is about what that looks like in practice, from someone building it for fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands right now.
What this is
Tim Richardson, CEO of ROIROI and host of Offcuts, and Lucy Davis, Chief Commercial Officer at ROIROI, open the session and set the scene for where Claude sits inside a product and supply chain function.
Then we bring in Matt Hymus from Nolo, who will walk through real examples of how he uses Claude, in his own work and with the brands Nolo works with.
What we’ll cover
Before Claude. The ops jobs Matt used to do by hand: stock and inventory, master data, NetSuite and special projects. What each one took then, and what Claude would do with it now.
Why every AI conversation becomes a data conversation. Talk about AI soon turns into talk about data, processes and systems. How clean and accessible your product data is decides what AI can do for you. Claude can help you fix those foundations first, because AI amplifies whatever problems are already there.
Data migrations and system changes. How Claude can surface the issues, propose fixes and help run the project.
Faster decisions in the back office. Fashion brands are cautious about customer-facing AI, but the back office is where the real value sits. Claude handles the analysis, so the people with taste can make the judgement calls sooner.
Building vs buying. Using Claude to build, test and run your own tools.
Your questions, answered. When you register we ask you one question: what do you most want to understand about using Claude inside your business? Your answers shape the session.
