Woven Willow Heart

​At this time last year, I spent a day with the Alberta Basketry Guild teaching a flat heart tray woven from locally harvested willow. It was an easygoing day of simple weaving, warm drinks, and good conversation—one of those gatherings that stays with you.

​That memory has been lingering, so I’m offering the class again, this time in a quieter, country setting at Antler Lake. Just 15 minutes east of Sherwood Park, the drive itself offers a small taste of rural Alberta.

​You’re welcome to join me to weave a heart tray, or bring along your own project and spend the day weaving alongside others. There’s no pressure—just time, materials, and shared space. Everyone is welcome.
