Hitting "send" does not move money; it broadcasts a cryptographic proof into a hostile gossip network designed to assume you are trying to cheat.
Standard block explorers make transactions look clean, instant, and certain. In reality, the moment your wallet signs a payload, it enters a chaotic, decentralized sorting machine. We are bypassing the consumer-facing UI to trace how bytes are actually serialized, propagated across independent nodes, evaluated inside the mempool, and permanently locked into a block. We aren’t talking about "sending digital money"; we are examining how a global consensus engine validates cryptographic state changes without central coordination.
What We Will Cover:
Transaction Serialization & Signing: Discover how input scripts, output scripts, and witness data are packed into raw hexadecimal payloads before hitting the wire.
The Gossip Network & Propagation: Tracing how unconfirmed transactions hop peer-to-peer across nodes, and why some transactions get silently dropped.
Mempool Validation Policies: Analyze the specific consensus rules and local fee limits that determine whether a node accepts or rejects your unconfirmed transaction.
Block Construction & Settlement: How miners select transactions from their local mempools to optimize block space, and what "confirmation" actually means mathematically.

Prerequisites
You do not need to be a software engineer to attend! However, a basic understanding of what a Bitcoin node is, what miners do, and the general concept of a blockchain will help you get the most out of this deep dive.
