Building Curiosity at Home: where are the gaps in parent’s engagement and what can we do about it?
Presented by NYEdTech & Shuli Ozeri-Adato, Founder of Pandoy.
Curiosity and critical thinking are durable skills every parent says they want their child to have, and then they spend their money and their time on grades, homework and test prep. In 40 minutes, 10 people building for parents will look at what curiosity building actually requires, why parents do not do it, and what we could put in their hands so they can grow their child's curiosity.
Questions we will work on:
Parents say they want this. Why don't they take an active role at home?
What can we hand a parent that needs minimum effort on their side?
What will give them confidence that it is working?
What motions can we lead as a community?
This is a working session, not a webinar. 40 minutes. Everyone speaks.
Up to 10 seats so that everyone speaks, cameras on, no pitching. Time to discuss challenges, gaps, real life examples, solutions and more. A short public write-up follows, with participant quotes used only with approval.
