About Event

~ JULY 24th Film Screening ~

Come gather with fellow film lovers for stories that surprise, delight, and remind us not to take life too seriously!

AVL Film is thrilled to partner with Carrboro Film Fest to curate a one-of-a-kind evening that features 6 entertaining short films from talented regional filmmakers. This playful collection spans comedy, romance, and the wonderfully unexpected.

Whether it's a buddy-heist adventure, a shy aspiring dominatrix, or a sweet bicycle love story, these films are sure to deliver plenty of laughs, a few squirms, and maybe even a tear or two. 🎞️ 😂

Before the films, enjoy live music by Nicholas Colavito (81 Drifters) and an improv performance by Dad Bod designed to set the tone for an evening filled with laughter, connection, and creative inspiration.

Following the screening, several featured filmmakers will join us for an in-person Q&A, sharing stories from behind the camera and offering insight into their creative process.

Come settle into your seat and let yourself be surprised. Between the laughter and the unexpected tenderness, you might just leave feeling a little lighter than when you arrived. ✨
