​Join us on April 7th from 5:00–7:00 PM in the Black Student Space for our last instalment of the year: Collective Conversations: What Makes Us Excellent?

​As the semester comes to a close and exam season approaches, many Black students carry not only academic pressure, but also the expectations tied to the idea of “Black excellence.” While this idea can be empowering and affirming, it can also shape how we measure success, navigate pressure, and show up for ourselves and one another.

​For many of us, striving for excellence is connected to resilience, representation, and community. At the same time, it can raise important questions about balance, rest, and how we define success on our own terms — especially during demanding times like exam season.

​As the final Collective Conversations gathering of the year, this dialogue also invites us to reflect on the semester as a whole: how we’ve grown, what we’ve carried, and how we have supported each other along the way.

​Because excellence is not only about achievement — it’s also about community, care, and how we show up for one another.
