A room full of people using typewriters sounds like nothing else. Sit down at a machine built before the internet existed, put your hands on the keys, and write.

Typewriter Social

has the Austin Flea market from 4 to 7:30, with live music from Buenos Diaz at 4 and Superfonicos at 8.

I'll be there with a table of vintage typewriters for you to type on, loaded with paper and ready to go.

Sit down and type a note, a poem, a haiku, a letter to anyone. No experience needed. Everything you type is yours to keep — or you can use it to decorate the space. Machines, paper, and prompts provided.

for more upcoming Typewriter Social events.
