LangChain Meetup: Building Great Agents (Berlin)
Join us for an evening in Friedrichshain with LangChain, DB Engineering & Consulting, and Zalando.
Most teams can build agents. Far fewer have a system to improve them.
In this meetup, Steffen Hausmann (Deployed Engineer @ LangChain) will walk through LangSmith Engine — an agent that sits on top of your traces, identifies recurring failure patterns, and suggests concrete next steps. He'll cover the architecture decisions behind it and how teams use it to operationalize the agent improvement loop.
Yanire Romero (Principal Engineer @ Zalando) and Saugandh Karan (Sr Software Engineer @ Zalando) share how they leveraged agentic SWE methods to modernize Zalando's Cart systems. Saugandh and Yani will walk through proven Agentic Engineering concepts that drastically improved their delivery — drawn from a real project that reduced human effort by nearly 10x.
Last, Gregor Beuster (Member of Technical Staff @ DB Engineering & Consulting) will walk through how Fleet and a coding agent work together to handle the full agent development loop — from building and testing to iterating with LangSmith traces and deploying via the Agent Server API.

About the hosts:
LangChain is the platform for the full agent development lifecycle — building, testing, deploying, and monitoring — so AI teams can systematically improve their agents. LangSmith Engine accelerates this cycle further, automatically surfacing and fixing issues to improve agents over time. And because the platform is neutral by design, teams can customize their own stack to optimize on cost and performance as the landscape evolves. More than 7,000 customers, including Nvidia, Workday, Bridgewater, Clay, and Rippling trust LangSmith to build and operate their agents.
Zalando is one of Europe’s leading technology companies in fashion and lifestyle, serving more than 50 million customers across Europe with the support of 2,000+ software engineers. As host of this meetup, Zalando is happy to welcome the Berlin LangChain community and share practical lessons from applying agentic engineering in a large-scale production environment.
