AWS Skills Center Tour
Come Join Us
Join UW Bothell’s Girls Who Code for an exclusive guided visit to the AWS Skills Center, where you’ll get an inside look at cloud technology and cloud careers in action.
The visit will include a walkthrough of the Cloud Discovery Space, an interactive environment showcasing real-world cloud services, career pathways, and emerging technologies. You’ll explore hands-on exhibits, learn how cloud computing is used across industries, and connect with AWS Skills Center ambassadors.
Following the tour, attendees will participate in a 1-hour introductory session on the AWS Cloud, covering core cloud concepts, key AWS services, real-world applications, and how the shared responsibility model works in practice.
Whether you’re new to cloud computing or curious about careers in tech, this is a great opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals in a hands-on environment.
Limited Capacity
Due to limited capacity, the event is capped at 30 students on a first-come, first-served basis. The RSVP deadline is February 10, 2026.
Transportation
Attendees are responsible for getting themselves to the AWS Skills Center.
Students may also choose to carpool with a Girls Who Code officer. If carpooling, an officer will drive attendees to the Lynnwood City Center Station, from where the group will take the Link Light Rail to Westlake Station.
Further transportation details will be shared closer to the event date.
