Lunch and Learn: Letters to the Editor
Have you ever read a news article or editorial, then felt frustrated because the author misunderstood something or omitted an important point? Learn how to channel that frustration into writing a Letter to the Editor (LTE)! LTEs are relatively easy to write and to submit. They take advantage of existing print and online media distribution channels to amplify your voice and redirect the conversation in your community in a more productive direction. Elected representatives pay special attention to LTEs when researching what their constituents care about.
This “Lunch and Learn” is the first event in a new monthly series organized by the north Seattle chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby. We hope that these events will be casual social gatherings, loosely themed around a topic that rotates each month. The goal is to provide an opportunity for climate advocates to hang out in person, take action together, and become more effective advocates for policies that they care about.
