Inside Carbon Storage: A Guided Tour Underground
What does permanent carbon storage actually look like?
As part of Climate Week Zurich, Recoal invites participants on a guided excursion to our long-term carbon storage site in Switzerland. Participants will visit the underground storage caverns where hydrochar is stored permanently as a form of durable carbon removal.
The excursion includes a guided tour of the caverns and explanations of the storage concept. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in conversations around scalability, MRV, and how durable carbon removal integrates into corporate climate strategies.
Special note: This is the first time Recoal has opened the site to the public outside of our core team and partners. Every attendee leaves with a verified 1 kg CO₂ removal certificate.
This event is particularly relevant for:
Potential buyers seeking high-integrity, durable carbon removal
Investors interested in real-world infrastructure and execution risk
Partners exploring long-term collaboration
Researchers and practitioners focused on permanence and storage
Capacity is intentionally limited to allow for meaningful interaction and discussion.
