Project a Black Planet Exhibition Visit & Social

​This is a Bridged community event exclusively for Black and Brown women.

​We're heading to the Barbican Art Gallery to see Project a Black Planet, over 250 works including painting, film, posters and installation, showing how Pan-Africanism has shaped art and culture from the 1920s to now.

​Creativity is at the heart of how we heal and grow, and this exhibition is full of it, artists across Africa, Brazil, the Caribbean, North America and Western Europe, including Chris Ofili, Marlene Dumas and Claudette Johnson, telling stories and imagining new possibilities through their work. I've already seen it, but I wanted to go again and take it in together, as a community.

​3:00PM - Welcome at the Art Gallery entrance on level 3
3:15PM - 5:00PM (approx end time) exhibition viewing
5:00PM - 6:00PM Community Social at Barbican Kitchen/ Lakeside Terrace downstairs.
