“My name is Matt and I go by the artist name Mr. Hong. I’ve been making music for about 8 years at this point, professionally since 2015. I’m originally from the San Francisco area, born and raised. The way I make music is that I pretend is like a diary entry. The idea and goal is to bring you back to that specific moment in time and how I was feeling. I wouldn’t say that I’m the best at describing my emotions in words (my girlfriend can attest to that haha) However, I can do that through music.”

One of the ways we bring that vision to life is through popup experiences — like our Mahjong DJ nights. What might look like a vibrant game night is actually part of something larger: a community-powered fundraiser helping us build and sustain our new physical space.
Mahjong DJ Night — along with our listening parties, and collaborative gatherings — is designed to gather people around culture while directly supporting the infrastructure behind it.
