Please join the Yale Club of London and Yale Blue Green London for an evening panel discussion on the topic of sustainable development and urban climate adaptation, followed by time to connect with fellow attendees.

Speakers:

Peter Hirsch '15 MEM is Head of Sustainability at 2150, a venture capital fund investing in technologies that help build more sustainable, efficient, and resilient cities. He focuses on driving meaningful climate impact through investments and supporting companies in strengthening their sustainability performance.

Chris Choa '81 is an architect and urbanist who leads OUTCOMIST, a consultancy dedicated to shaping cities through future-oriented masterplanning and urban strategy. A former head of AECOM’s Cities Consulting practice, he is a Global Trustee of the Urban Land Institute and advises governments and institutions on decision-making and unlocking long-term value for urban communities.

Elizabeth Kelly '92 is a changemaker working at the intersection of climate action, sustainable transport, and civic engagement. With over 20 years' experience across government, global city networks, and grassroots activism, she designs and delivers programs that shift behaviors and empower communities.

Xiaoting Hou-Jones '10 MEM leads the Doughnut Economic Action Lab's (DEAL) work with governments and changemakers who seek to achieve more regenerative and distributive economies. She has worked and travelled to 58 countries, applying systems thinking and evidence-based strategies to complex sustainable development challenges in diverse cultural settings.

Moderator:

Martin Man ‘19 M.Arch is a built environment professional focusing on urban climate adaptation, with experience shaping projects across the UK and internationally. He is passionate about integrating climate resilience and social and economic impact into regional and strategic planning, and has a particular interest in data-driven and innovative tech solutions to urban sustainability.

Martin serves as Chair of Yale Blue Green London.
