Last year in the UK, 83 women and girls lost their lives as a result of domestic violence.
Eighty-three daughters.
Eighty-three sisters.
Eighty-three mothers.
Eighty-three futures stolen.
On this International Women’s Day, we will gather to plant 83 trees — one for each life lost.
Each tree will stand as a symbol of remembrance, resilience and renewal.
Roots in the ground.
Names in our hearts.
A commitment to change.
This is more than a memorial.
It is a public statement that these lives mattered — and that violence against women and girls must end.
