β€‹πŸ“ In-person meeting at Palo Alto Networks HQ β€” Santa Clara

πŸ™ This month's meeting is generously hosted and sponsored by Palo Alto Networks.

Join the ISC2 Silicon Valley Chapter for our June 2026 meeting. As AI agents move from experimentation into production, the security questions are shifting fast β€” from "how do we prompt safely?" to "how do we govern data, configurations, and infrastructure across the full AI lifecycle?" This month, we're doubling up with two speakers covering complementary angles: practical data security across LLMs and agentic systems, and the infrastructure discipline behind securing MCP-connected environments.

β€‹πŸŽ€ Opening Session | Securing Data in the Age of Agentic AI: Practical Best Practices for LLMs and GenAI

Sanjeev Agarwal, Founder & CISO, BIDODI Infosec

In GenAI, data security is the set of safeguards that protects the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and authenticity of data as it is stored, moves through, and is transformed by LLM/GenAI/agentic systems β€” across training and fine-tuning, retrieval (RAG), tool use, agent memory, telemetry, inference-time processing, and downstream outputs.

This session covers the practical data security and privacy implications of deploying LLMs and GenAI in real-world environments, drawing on OWASP guidance and current best practices, with alignment to frameworks including NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATLAS, GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and ISO 27001. Sanjeev walks through the most common data security risks specific to LLMs, GenAI, and agentic AI, then maps them to practical mitigations β€” data minimization, anonymization, pseudonymization, encryption, access controls, input validation, output filtering, and monitoring β€” across the full AI lifecycle, from data collection and preparation through training, deployment, and ongoing use.

About the Speaker

Sanjeev Agarwal is Founder & CISO of BIDODI Infosec, an AI and agentic AI security startup. He is an active member of the OWASP Agentic Security Initiative, OWASP AI Exchange, Cloud Security Alliance's AI Safety Initiative, and the AIUC-1 Consortium β€” the world's first standard for AI agents. Prior to BIDODI, he was Head of Product Security for SAP-IAG at SAP Labs. Sanjeev has worked in application and information security for over 20 years.

β€‹πŸŽ€ Featured Talk | Securing MCP: Infrastructure Discipline for the Agentic Era

Dr. Albert Heinle, CTO & Co-Founder, CoGuard

MCP and agentic AI don't create new infrastructure risks β€” they inherit and amplify decades of accumulated ones. This talk examines why configuration has become the effective control plane for AI agent behavior, and why securing agentic systems requires infrastructure discipline rather than better prompts.

Albert covers bounded autonomy through architecture, the loss of determinism as a security challenge, economic resource governance, and the emerging shift toward declarative agent interfaces β€” with practical guidance for teams building or securing MCP-connected environments.

About the Speaker

Dr. Albert Heinle is driven by a mission to combat the global surge of data breaches and misconfigurations. Albert co-founded CoGuard in 2020 and serves as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to CoGuard, he held development positions at FLIR Systems, Inc., Aeryon Labs, and Sortable. He completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo.
