Founders' Footnotes: An Edmonton Unlimited Bookclub
Founders & Non-Fiction Lovers — this one’s for you.
Founders' Footnotes is Edmonton Unlimited’s quarterly book club for people curious about startups, scaling, leadership, and the ecosystems that support them. Each quarter, we’ll gather in person to discuss one non-fiction book and unpack how its ideas show up in real life—especially here in Edmonton’s startup community.
This is not a lecture or a panel. It’s an informal, thoughtful conversation with fellow founders, operators, ecosystem builders, and lifelong learners.
Come having read the book (or most of it, but no stress if you didn’t finish). The goal isn’t perfection; it’s perspective.

Our First Book
We’re kicking things off with Good to Great by Jim Collins.
Collins explores what separates good companies from truly great ones, and how those organizations sustain excellence over time. We’ll dig into what still holds up, what feels dated, and how the ideas translate to today’s startup environment.
