​About Anand Jagannathan

​Dr. Anand Jagannathan is a serial entrepreneur and founder of five companies, including two IPOs — Banyan Systems and Responsys — making him one of the earliest Indian American founders to take a startup public. His other ventures include Reach Software, iStorez, and Engage.Social.

​Anand is an active startup mentor and angel investor with TiE Silicon Valley Angels, with a portfolio of 25+ companies spanning healthcare tech, insuretech, fintech, SaaS infrastructure, AI infrastructure, and alternative food. He began his career at AT&T Bell Labs as the primary software architect for the industry’s first 32-bit microprocessor and holds three patents in processor design and user interfaces.

​Anand holds a B.Tech. from IIT Kanpur and M.S./Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from Rice University.
