Why Your AI Agent Will Fail in Production
Join us for a free live session giving an early look at Building Reliable AI Agents, Ali Parandeh's upcoming Manning liveProject series. This talk covers what actually happens when an AI agent leaves the demo and meets real users, with practical examples drawn from production systems.
In this talk, Ali will walk through the failure patterns that show up specifically in agentic systems: tool calls that fail silently, retrieval that breaks under load, evaluation that looks solid in testing and tells you nothing once real users get involved, and the guardrails teams skip because they slow down the development.
This session is designed for engineers, developers, and technical leads building or evaluating LLM-based agents who want an honest picture of the gap between prototype and production.
Date: Monday 10 August 2026
Time: 6:30pm to 7:30pm (1 hour)
Location: Online (Free)
We'll cover:
Why agents that pass every test in the demo still fail with real users
Common failure patterns in tool-calling and multi-step agent workflows
Evaluation approaches that catch problems before production, not after
Guardrails and monitoring that actually hold up under real traffic
Early material from Building Reliable AI Agents Series (Manning)
No coding setup is required, this is a talk with live examples.
✨ Special for participants: An Agent Requirements Document (ARD) Template access after the webinar
