Cyber Defense and Electronic Warfare in Unmanned Aerial Operations

​What happens to a drone when its communication gets hacked or jammed?

​In this session, we’ll look at how unmanned aerial systems hold up in contested cyber and electromagnetic environments, with a focus on MAVLink communication. We’ll talk about how manipulated messages, unauthorised commands and disrupted communication can affect UAV control, telemetry and the mission itself, and what can actually be done to make these systems more secure and resilient.

​Dr Inda Kreso is a cybersecurity researcher from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She works on critical infrastructure protection, ICS/OT security, digital forensics and UAV cybersecurity, including how cyber and electromagnetic threats interact.
