Google Codelab: Enhancing E-Commerce Checkout with Browser AI Capabilities

​Welcome!

​Join this 90-minute workshop to explore how you can leverage new AI browser capabilities to improve the checkout experience for your users! You'll start by learning how to implement a fast, local, and private recommendation engine using the Prompt API. Then, we'll expose the recommendations, and your checkout flow, to user agents using WebMCP.

​Requirements

• ​You must bring your own laptop and power cable. The activities are intended for laptops and cannot be completed on a tablet or phone.

• ​A working Node.js development environment with Node 24+

• ​Chrome 150 or greater

• ​(Optional) A coding agent with Modern Web Guidance and DevTools for agents installed
