ABOUT THE MUSIC
We’ve selected timeless music that carries tenderness and strength from composers who transformed their own pain into hope and beauty. Pieces that offer solace and a supportive soundscape for reflection, rest, and connection. The program includes music by Handel, Caroline Shaw, Iman Habibi, Schubert, and Bach.
Daniel will tune his cello to 432 Hz instead of the standard 440 Hz to create a warmer and more resonant sound that many people experience as gentler and more calming in the body.
ABOUT US
Hi, I’m Karen Choi and I’m glad you’re here. After years working behind the scenes in classical music, I craved a deeper experience you could actually feel in the body, not just watch from a seat. That became Balm.
Today, I design restorative music rituals that invite people to slow down, reset, and soften back into connection with themselves, others, and the moments we share. Through music, somatic movement, breath, sound and guided rest, these experiences are designed to support the nervous system while creating a safe, honest space to be present with what’s real. In addition to hosting Soul Care Sundays every month, I bring this work to conferences, community events, and wellness spaces.
Daniel Hamin Go first picked up the cello at age 12. As he drew the bow across the open C string, the cello’s vibrations resonated throughout his entire body. He remembers being moved and filled with light – a light that has guided his desire to explore the truth that lies in life, in music, and in himself.
It’s the light that fuels his need to connect with audiences and to share interpretations that demand a full commitment to emotional expression. That light has propelled his international career as a soloist and chamber musician. In 2025, he released his debut album ARIRANG.
