Stoop 001: Halloween Mixer

Philly! Our first Stoop is a Halloween one, and you're invited.

A Stoop is how we hang. It's named for the rowhouse stoop: sit out front, talk, no pressure. No talks, no agenda. Just good music, good people, and the things this community builds, all over the room.

What's in the room:

• A live DJ, with visuals that move to the music

• Projection-mapped art on the walls, made with the template from our last Lab

• A costume vote with stickers, and a 3D-printed trophy for the winner

• Food and drinks

Costume or not, you're in.

Bring someone who's never been to a PhilaCon event. That's the whole assignment.

Builders, designers, artists, and the tech-curious: curiosity > credentials. Everyone is welcome.

Food and drinks are provided. Tell us about dietary restrictions when you register.

A note on the visuals: they react to the music, and we run them in a low-motion mode with no strobes. If flashing light is a concern for you, tell us at the door.

18 and over. Under 18 is welcome with a parent or guardian.

We photograph and film our events. You choose when you register, and you can change your mind at the door.

Friday, October 30, 6-9 PM, at Pennovation Works, in the main common area. Doors at 6:00. Free.
