Help! The ASRS Clock Is Ticking. Where Do I Start?

Practical lessons from Cuscal's (Group 1) first mandatory disclosure.

Executive Breakfast | Sydney CBD | Private Dining Experience | Tuesday 27th October 2026

If you're a Group 2 reporter, your first ASRS climate disclosure  deadline is fast approaching. You have 9 months left, and everything from the first wave of reporters suggests this was much bigger, more complex and more disruptive than most anticipated.

ASIC have described it as the biggest shift in corporate reporting in a generation and many companies remain unaware of the task at hand.

If you're in Group 3, you have a little longer. If Group 1 taught us anything, its that the businesses that start early had a much smoother, lower cost, less disruptive experience.

Either way, the question is the same: where do you actually start?

There's plenty of technical guidance on what the standard requires. What's much harder to find is an honest account of how to get it done. Who needs to be involved, what to tackle first, how deep to go, where the effort really gets spent, how much it costs,  and what you can safely leave until Year Two.

Join a private, invite-only group of senior finance, risk, legal, compliance and sustainability leaders for a candid breakfast on how to turn the time you have left into a proportionate, audit-ready first disclosure without the cost and complexity many Group 1s dealt with.

Hear from someone who was in the detail…and has already successfully disclosed.

Liza Gubska, Senior Manager, Risk Governance at Cuscal, has now completed Cuscal's first mandatory climate disclosure as a Group 1 reporter.

Liza wasn't watching from the boardroom. She was part of the work: building the governance, getting the right people around the table, pulling the evidence together and keeping the disclosure on track. That makes her one of the few people who can tell you what Year One really involves day to day.

Liza will share where Cuscal started, the decisions that saved the team time, what took longer than expected, what she'd do differently, and her advice for organisations with a similar runway now.

Plus, the assurance perspective.

Because Year One isn't just about getting a disclosure out the door, the discussion will also bring in the assurance lens. That means what auditors are looking for in a proportionate first-year disclosure, where evidence requirements tend to catch teams out, and how to build audit readiness into your process from the start, not scramble for it at the end.

Designed as an executive discussion, not a seminar.

Bring your questions, compare approaches with peers at the same stage and leave with a clearer view of your next steps.

Attendance is by invitation and limited to keep the discussion senior and interactive.
