This is the day the farm goes into the ocean.

Join us on National Maritime Day to celebrate the official launch of Portugal's first regenerative seaweed farm. After three years of collaboration between surfers, scientists, and fishermen, we're putting this bold idea into action in the Bay of Nazaré.

The Day:

11:00 AM - Meeting point at Mountains of the Sea hangar. Community beach cleanup with TOPI from Good Bottle + DocaPesca + Ocean52

2:00 - 3:00 PM - Boat trips to the Regenerative Seaweed Farm and Giant Wave - your chance to see firsthand where ocean regeneration will happen in the Bay of Nazaré (limited spaces, first come first served)

2:30 PM - DocaPesca mackerel barbecue demonstration + Nazaré Municipality buffet

4:30 - 5:30 PM - Community talk + film screening: "Waste Management - An Entrepreneurial Approach to Saving the World" at Mountains of the Sea hangar. Moderated by José Braz (PRODELIX)

All Day - Interactive exhibits. Meet the scientists. Learn the technology. Ask questions.

Complimentary food and refreshments provided throughout the day.
