🕵🏻Whether you're a fan of Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple, Detective Conan, Kindaichi, works of Higashino Keigo, and more — this event is for curious minds who love to solve mysteries and share stories.
📝A special sharing and zine-making session with Kitiya Withayapraphat, aka Detective Katia — a Thai-Chinese zine artist and lifelong mystery reader. She’ll talk about how detective stories have shaped different chapters of her life, and how she translates that inspiration into honest, heartfelt storytelling through handmade zines.
🖌️🎨Then, join our beginner-friendly mini zine workshop, no design experience needed. Just bring a pen, your favourite mystery story, and your curiosity. We’ll help you create your very own detective zine to take home.
📍 We’ll meet at Lou Hieb Seng (MRT Sanamchai, Exit 1), a creative experimental space nested in the heart of Bangkok's old town, just less than a minute’s walk to the pier overlooking the stunning Wat Arun — a perfect spot to unwind after a day of solving mysteries with creativity!

Get settled, order some drinks, explore the space, and warm into the mood.
15.00 - 15.30 Detective Mystery & Book Circle
Participants briefly share about their favorite mystery or detective stories (Spoiler-free or with friendly warning)
15.30 - 16.00 Meet the Guest: Detective Katia
A zine-making artist and lifelong reader of mystery stories, Detective Katia shares how her love for detective books inspire different chapters of her life through a form of Zine storytelling.
The moderated conversation will be in Thai, with live English translation.
16.00 - 17.00 The Curious Case of the Handmade Crime Zine!
Participants grab a pen and a piece of paper, starting their own mini stories from scratch, or with prompts. Then simply sketch. No rules. No pressure.
Not in the mood to make a zine? Feel free to just read, observe, or simply enjoy the atmosphere; we encourage everyone to stay for the sharing circle at the end, it’s always a highlight!
17.00 - 17.30 Sharing & Wrap up
A casual and open show-and-tell circle for those who’d like to share. Final reflections, group photo, and closing.
Optional After Hours: You’re welcome to join us for a riverside stroll along the Chao Phraya River from Tha Tien Pier, the perfect golden-hour end to a mystery-filled afternoon.
🙏Guidelines for Participants
Since we don’t collect any participation fee, please bring your materials for the Zine workshop — A pen is enough (we’ll provide A4 paper), but feel free to bring your own sketchbooks, colored pencils, stamps, collage, stickers, or any stationery you love
Arrive on time to get the full experience
Please keep phone usage to a minimum during sharing session or discussion time
Bring kindness, curiosity, and a spirit of play— there’s no right or wrong way to create your story here!

🖌️🎨เราจะทำ Zine แบบง่าย ๆ ด้วยกันจากกระดาษแค่แผ่นเดียว ไม่ต้องมีพื้นฐานใด ๆ มาก่อน แค่เตรียมปากกามาหนึ่งด้ามและหัวใจที่เปิดกว้าง
📷 เสร็จกิจกรรมแล้วถ้ายังไม่มีแพลนไปไหนต่อ จะขอชวนมาเดินเล่นชิลๆ ริมแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ชมวิววัดอรุณ ถ่ายรูปเล่น หาอะไรอร่อย ๆ ทาน จะเม้ามอยเรื่องหนังสือ หรือแฮงค์เอาท์กันต่อยาวๆ ก็ตามสะดวกเลย
