About Event

The aim of this workshop will be to discuss the goals, opportunities, and challenges associated with the bioeconomy—the industrial revolution that will enable the biotechnological production of food, materials, medicines, and energy in the 21st century and beyond—in a manner that is sustainable, promotes decarbonization, preserves biodiversity, and enhances durability and security of supply chains by reducing reliance on imported commodities. The workshop will feature short talks by several MIT and Engine-backed companies, and focus on interactive discussions between workshop participants who will share and present their views to the group on core enabling innovation and impact areas of the bioeconomy.
