Building a Trustless Anti-Sniping Launchpad, and Life as a Solo Indie Web3 Builder

Launchpads are notorious for getting sniped and rigged before regular users get a fair shot.

This episode looks at building one designed to actually be trustless with vesting and commitment rounds baked in alongside what it's like running side projects and writing alpha digests solo, on the road, as an indie builder.

Participants

  • Jeremy White – Host (Now Media)

  • BlockBard (Bard) – Indie Web3 Builder

About the guest

0xBlockBard, known as Bard, is an independent Web3 builder based in Singapore with a background in Economics and over a decade of mostly self-taught coding experience.

He works full-stack and on smart contracts in Rust and Solidity, building tools and platforms for the crypto community while traveling and working remotely.

His projects have included dapp.build, a private community platform for dedicated Web3 builders to collaborate during bear markets, and a trustless anti-sniping launchpad using vesting and commitment rounds.

He also writes alpha digests on the side and stays engaged with NFT projects like Mad Lads.

Writing alpha digests as a side project
What draws Bard to writing alpha digests alongside his development work, and what does that process actually look like?

Life as a solo indie Web3 builder
What does building solo, while traveling and working remotely, actually look like day-to-day compared to building within a team or company?

Who this episode is for

Builders and token launch teams interested in fairer, trustless launchpad mechanics.

Indie Web3 makers curious how to sustain multiple side projects while working remotely.
