students will be added to a Reiki-specific WhatsApp group to connect, share experiences, ask questions, trade, request Reiki for a person or community, and offer support.

if you intend to practice reiki for others, it is important to first have substantial personal experience with receiving reiki. i strongly recommend receiving at least five sessions before offering this work professionally. this supports deeper integration, ethical practice, and confidence.

☆ additional 3 hour supervised practice and practical exam, scheduled approximately two weeks later (timing will be polled with the group)

this training is limited to six participants to ensure personalized attention, safety, and depth.
the class is facilitated through guided meditations, discussion, visual presentation, attunements, and hands-on practice.
what is a reiki attunement
a reiki attunement is a sacred initiation that aligns your energy system with the frequency of reiki.
during this process, the teacher channels reiki to clear energetic blockages and activate your capacity to access universal life force energy. once attuned, this connection is available to you for life.
attunement is less about learning something new and more about remembering. many people describe it as cleansing, emotional, grounding, or like coming home to themselves.
reiki teachers typically suggest wearing white, or a light colored shirt for the attunement, although i make this optional.
how to prepare
preparation is simple and gentle:
☆ rest well and stay hydrated
☆ eat nourishing, grounding foods
☆ create space for quiet reflection or journaling
☆ welcome any emotions that surface as part of the clearing
☆ optional: salt bath or shower with intention to clear the energy field
☆ set a light intention by asking what you wish to open to

about the facilitator
mina bahadori (she/her) is an iranian-american breath and energy guide and reiki teacher based in brooklyn. she has been facilitating healing spaces since 2016.
her work is intuitive, trauma-informed, inclusive, and grounded in embodied practice. she teaches reiki-infused breathwork, leads reiki trainings, and works with clients privately both online and in brooklyn. mina collaborates with sonic artists and teaches regularly at maha rose and reforesters laboratory.
her approach is gentle, discerning, and non-dogmatic. spirituality, in her work, is soft, experimental, playful, and deeply respectful of individual sovereignty.
