Join us in Belém for a full-day COP30 Climate Media Training, co-led by 350.org, Instituto Oya, and Youth Climate Collaborative, with other partners to be confirmed.
This training is designed by youth and indigenous leaders for all, with global partners amplifying the work. It will equip ~150 people, especially youth who are Indigenous, Afro-Brazilian, riverine, and periferias/favelas organizers—with the skills and tools to shape narratives at COP30 and beyond.
What you’ll gain:
Practical skills in press outreach, storytelling, countering disinformation, and digital safety.
On-camera practice and media coaching to build confidence as a spokesperson.
A collaborative narrative strategy, with special focus on LATAM.
New relationships with local and international youth leaders, media and communications professionals, artists, campaigners, and creators.
Who should join:
Open to anyone, of any age. Priority given to youth (18–35) attending COP30, especially from Amazon states, frontline communities, student, workers’, cultural networks, and emerging creators in video, photo, and audio storytelling.
Draft agenda highlights (08:30–18:00):

Opening circle: Why narrative power in the Amazon matters now

Outputs:
Participants will leave with a Media Toolkit, ready-to-pitch story angles, short-form content drafts, and a coordination network to stay connected and co-create content throughout COP30.
