About Event

Serial Number One: The First Apple Computer, the Dancing Baby, and the AI Future
RSVP is required to attend.

Jonah Loop did not find his way into technology. He was born into it.

At two years old, his mother brought home Apple One, Serial Number One, a gift from Steve Wozniak for her work expanding global access to computing as the first woman in the Homebrew Computer Club. His grandfather invented electronic switching and binary logic at MIT, then designed the redundant signaling system for the ICBM defense network.

By his twenties, Jonah had helped design the interface for 3D Studio Max and Character Studio, created the viral “Dancing Baby,” and sold a facial animation algorithm to Autodesk that powered ILM’s Academy Award winning Digital Yoda. He built Big Red Pixel from three people in a Sonoma barn into a 500 person visual effects powerhouse known for rescuing troubled Hollywood productions.

Beyond film, he authored New Mexico’s film incentive law, helped shape Puerto Rico’s media tax credit framework, and consulted for AIG, Soros, and major hedge funds. He personally financed 27 films and contributed to more than 200.

RSVP is required to attend.

Later, as a co founder of Zero Gravity, the company behind Ozark, The Accountant, and Cop Shop, his productions topped global charts, with more than 55 billion minutes streamed on Netflix last year.

Today, Jonah serves on Stability AI’s advisory board alongside James Cameron, Sean Parker, and Rob Legato. He runs a private AI lab and previously managed a 250 million dollar frontier tech fund. For two decades, he has been steadily building a venture that merges AI, IP monetization, and his extensive content library, an idea that has only recently become possible to fully realize.

About This Event
This is a rare, invitation only evening, a candid meet and greet with Jonah Loop, one of the most quietly influential figures at the intersection of Hollywood, technology, and venture capital.

This intimate gathering brings Utah's innovation and investment community face to face with someone who has shaped the digital world in ways most people don't yet know, but definitely recognize.

Your Host Dr. Richard Swart is a globally recognized family office consultant, crowdfunding policy leader, and venture innovator. He brings to this evening a network and a curiosity that consistently surfaces the people who are actually moving the needle.

Why SchoolAI Is a perfect meeting space

SchoolAI is a teacher‑guided, student‑safe AI learning platform that gives every student a personal AI tutor while helping educators understand how each student learns and personalize instruction in real time.

Already in use across the vast majority of Utah school districts, SchoolAI is modeling how responsible, classroom‑centered AI can scale from early pilots to system‑level adoption.

As a Utah‑born, globally scaling AI platform for education, SchoolAI provides the perfect backdrop for a conversation with Jonah about how responsible AI, narrative, and interactive media will shape the next generation of learning experiences, assessment, and student‑safe content.

This evening connects Jonah’s decades of work in digital characters, storytelling, and IP with SchoolAI’s mission to bring safe, classroom‑aligned AI into everyday teaching and learning.
