ME | A FIRST LOOK AT ARTE CAFÉ AT EL QUADRADO HOSTED BY FOUNDER SOFIA ORTIZ AND MOTHER EURO

Join us Tuesday, June 16th at 11:00AM for an exclusive private preview with the MOTHER EURO community at EL QUADRADO — a Madrid concept store paying tribute to the craft, color, and quiet artistry of Latin American design. We are among the very first to step inside the shop's newest chapter: Arte Café at El Quadrado, the in-house coffee shop launching with Bolivian roaster ARTE COFFEE.

This morning is a soft, private opening — ours before it's anyone else's. Coffee will be poured by Arte Coffee, brunch bites will be served by the coffee shop's resident baker MOU, and founder Sofia Ortiz will be there to walk us through both the shop and the new café — its story, its collections, and the meaning behind every choice that brought it to life.

THE EXPERIENCE Hosted at EL QUADRADO, the morning is part brunch, part shopping, part introduction to a corner of Madrid that has quietly become one of the city's most intentional Latin American spaces. Coffee, freshly baked bites, and conversation will flow throughout the shop as Sofia walks us through the collections — the designers, the regions, the stories behind each piece. It's the kind of morning that feels less like an event and more like being invited into a friend's world before the rest of the city catches on.

ABOUT ARTE COFFEE
A Bolivian specialty coffee roaster, and its first in-house café in Madrid lives inside El Quadrado as a quiet tribute to founder Sofia Ortiz and her Bolivian roots. The partnership brings the craft, terroir, and care of Bolivian coffee culture into the heart of the shop — a continuation of the same love letter to Latin American design and craft that El Quadrado has always been. To open the café privately, with Mother Euro, before its doors swing open more broadly, feels like a quiet and meaningful beginning.

ABOUT MOU
The coffee shop's resident baker, MOU, will be serving the morning's brunch bites — slow, considered, beautifully made. A perfect counterpart to Arte's coffee, and a first taste of what daily life inside the new café will look and feel like.

ABOUT SOFIA
Sofia Ortiz was born in Bolivia and built El Quadrado in Madrid as a love letter to the designers, artisans, and collections of Latin America. Her work as a curator is rooted in heritage — bringing pieces from across the region into a single space, and creating a home in Madrid where the craft of Latin American design can be discovered, celebrated, and lived with. With the opening of Arte Café at El Quadrado, that love letter now carries the scent of Bolivian coffee — a quiet, full-circle moment, and one we're honored to share with her.

THE FLOW
We'll gather at El Quadrado at 11:00 AM for coffee from Arte, brunch bites by Mou, and a warm welcome from Sofia. From there, the morning moves at the pace of conversation — guided storytelling through the collections and plenty of time to browse, try on, and shop with the community.

ABOUT EL QUADRADO is a Madrid concept store dedicated to the designers, artisans, and collections of Latin America. Founded by Bolivian-born curator Sofia Ortiz, the shop brings together pieces from across the region — clothing, accessories, objects, and editorial collaborations — under a single, intentional roof. With the launch of Arte Café at El Quadrado in partnership with Bolivian roaster Arte Coffee, the space now expands into café and gathering territory — a place where the story behind each piece, each cup, and each bite matters as much as the thing itself.
