Elad Gil is founder and CEO of Gil & Co, a multistage technology venture capital firm and operating company. Elad is a serial entrepreneur and operating executive who has funded many of the seminal companies of the last decade.
Gil & Co investments include AirBnB, Anduril, Coinbase, Databricks, Deel, Figma, Instacart, Notion, OpenAI, Rippling, Samsara, Scale.AI, SpaceX, Square, Stripe, and others. Elad has invested in over 50 “unicorn” companies worth $1B or more, 40 or so at seed or series A.
Gil & Co was early to the AI wave and led funding rounds or invested significantly in OpenAI, Perplexity, Abridge, Braintrust, Decagon, Harvey, Long Lake Management, Scale, and other AI leaders.
Elad is author of the bestselling book “High Growth Handbook”, about organizational and financial scaling of breakout technology companies.
Elad is an advisor to Electric Capital, a crypto hedge fund, and is involved with various crypto protocols and companies.
Previously, Elad was VP of Corporate Strategy at Twitter, as well as ran various product teams (Geo, Search). Elad joined Twitter via acquisition of MixerLabs, where he was co-founder and CEO. MixerLabs ran GeoAPI, an early developer-centric infrastructure product.
Elad was also early at Google Alphabet, where he started the mobile team (including acquiring the Android team) and was the original product manager for Google Mobile Maps and Mobile Gmail, which are used by hundreds of millions of people a month.
Elad’s side projects include building large scale public art and monuments, and AI translation of some of humanity's most important works for a modern online library.
