Low Embodied Carbon Buildings in Action!
Join the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Carbon Leadership Forum Washington DC Hub (CLF DC) for an engaging evening exploring the intersection of green building practices, embodied carbon, and climate action.
This event will combine expert insights with a hands-on building tour showcasing the USGBC headquarters building in the heart of DC! Highlights will include identifying both LEED features and embodied carbon (EC) reduction strategies as we walk through the space.
Run of show:
5-5:15pm: Arrive to venue, grab some snacks, get to know your neighbor.
5:15-5:45pm: Lightning talks from USGBC and CLF on relevant subject matter for building tour.
5:45-6:30pm: Building tour to highlight LEED elements and EC impacts. Interactive learning about building features during each stop via discussions.
6:30-7pm: Networking and grabbing more snacks. Connect with other sustainability professionals at the event and continue the conversation on climate action in the built environment.
