Leather Journal Making
Join us for a sweeeet crafty evening of making your very own leather journal to hold all of your thoughts, dreams & grocery lists. The perfect forever journal holder, with 3 signatures, custom colors, eyelits & charms.
Each guest will craft their own a5 (5.8in x 8.3in) journal with the below curated customization options <3 :
Choice of leather: brown, red-brown or pale green
Choice of colored cord: apricot, coffee, green, red
Choice of eyelit color: silver, bronze, rose gold
1 charms & 5 beads
We'll cover everything you need to know to leave with a stunning journal— skills that will be covered include: using a rotary cutter to punch holes in leather, attaching eyelits and grommets, and attaching and customizing cords.
Post event, we'll send you our journal template as well as a list of our favorite tools + supplies so you can keep crafting at home. Please note! Leather will be pre-cut with corners rounded and a center hole pre-punched to keep it simple and fun— this is not a highly technical leather working workshop.
You'll leave with your completed journal, and three signatures to fill it.
All materials + a complimentary bev provided. Snacks available for purchase.

What can I expect from a project at RecCreate?
Projects are the perfect chance to finally make that thing you saved on tiktok or pinned months ago, where all you have to do is show up! We curate the coolest materials and walk you through it step by step. Naturally, you leave with the sickest me-made piece for yourself or as the sweetest gift. Projects are a great opportunity to try out a new craft without having to invest in all of the materials, alongside other creative humans. These are not highly technical workshops— our emphasis is on craft, self expression and creative empowerment.
As with all RecCreate events, you can expect to go on this journey with a room full of lovely strangers. We’ll offer opportunities for connection throughout our time— encouraging the spirit of the collective. It is (so) much more fun to get to create together.
Getting Here
The venue is a ~hidden~ art studio located at 20 Grand ave in brooklyn on the 6th floor of a commercial building! When you arrive, buzz #604, push to open and take the elevator up to 6 (push the elevator button until it turns red.!!) Take a right out of the elevator, and a left at the end of the hallway. The door will be the first one on your right.
Cancelation Policy
Tickets are non-refundable/exchange-able! Please double check your calendar. In the event you are no longer able to make it, you are welcome to give your ticket to a friend or use our ticket swap sheet. Just send us an email!
Photography Disclaimer
Though we do our best to keep all photography / video to a minimum, please note all guests who attend consent to being photographed and videoed which may be used for marketing or promotional purposes.
Age Restriction & Dogs
All guests must be 18+ to attend and though we love your pups, unfortunately cannot have them in the studio!
