Embodying Emotion: a movement practice - Open Registration
Join us to explore how emotions move through you, how they want to be expressed, and what happens when you allow them to shift and release.
We’ll begin by arriving together, grounding into the space and creating a shared container rooted in presence, respect, and curiosity. From there, you’ll be guided through a series of intuitive movement practices.
You’ll move individually with opportunities to witness and be witnessed without pressure to perform, fix, or explain.
No prior movement experience is needed. You’re always invited to move at your own pace or to rest at any point.
Led by Fontaine Foxworth, Founder at Plumea & Stanford Zouk Teacher
Fontaine is a longtime recreational dancer who has explored a wide range of partner and solo dance forms. She originally came to dance as a way to balance an overactive mind, and has since found movement to be one of the most powerful ways to process and move through emotion in the body. Fontaine is also the founder of Plumea, a company developing tools to help people build emotional literacy. She teaches Zouk at Stanford.
At InsightsOut, we believe deeply in the power of emotions to connect us to each other and to humanity.
